Dance Marathon 2013
Members of the Greek community participated in a 30-hour Dance Marathon March 8-10 to raise money for the Danny Did Foundation and the Evanston Community Foundation. After months of fundraising and 30 hours of dedicated dancing, the Northwestern community raised over $1.2 million for our two beneficiaries!
Several Greek teams received fundraising awards, including:
-Kappa Alpha Theta, who took home the award for top small group fundraisers
-Delta Delta Delta & Sigma Alpha Epsilon, who were the top medium group fundraisers
-Delta Gamma & Zeta Beta Tau won the PHA/IFC award for highest average fundraised per dancer, at $1,321 per dancer. In addition, they were the top large group fundraisers, setting an all-time record by fundraising $134,842!!
The Panhellenic Association was proud to be a sponsor of such an outstanding philanthropic event. Furthermore, we are unbelievably proud of our members who exhibited our values through their endless commitment and perseverance!
Check out the following short video created by the Northwestern Greek community to show our support for all of the dancers. The video was played a few hours into the dance marathon to get all of the dancers revved up for the long night and day ahead!
