My name is Emily Jordan and I am honored to be serving as this year’s Panhellenic President here at Northwestern University, representing members of 12 different organizations who comprise nearly 40% of the female undergraduate student body. Each day in my position as Panhellenic President I am amazed by the women who have chosen to become members of our community. Northwestern’s Panhellenic women embody the values on which our organizations were founded, including leadership, scholarship, service, and sisterhood. I am proud to represent women who contributed to raising 1,000,000 dollars in Northwestern’s 2011 Dance Marathon, who travel the world studying international educational inequity and third world healthcare, who are varsity swimmers, fencers, lacrosse players, and, some of my personal favorites, who helped bring Snoop Dogg and Kid Cudi to perform on our campus. These women are my classmates, friends, and role models and they have helped to make Northwestern feel like home to me over the past three years.
